Recovering from Surgery

Well the last major hurdle for this year is behind me. I had a couple of issues but I’m doing okay. I’m waiting for my full body CT Scan and Bone Scan this month. If I get a clean bill of health from the doctor I'll be back to work full-time beginning of August.

I’ve been working in-between all of the doctor appointments this month. In August the appointments will begin to slow down. I can’t tell you how excited I am to be living a normal life again. Having a routine is so important. Even though I’m not 100% yet, I feel so much better than I did before and during treatments. Every day I get a little stronger. The every three week treatments set me back a little but nothing to complain about.

My son went on a trip to yellow stone with my brother, brother-n-law, and their children. It wasn’t the best time to spend money on a seven day vacation out west but I’m glad he went. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to take him on a vacation of that magnitude for a long time.

I figure you have to enjoy life as much as you can, while you can. It’s that the old saying “don’t put off ‘til tomorrow what you can do today”. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to squeeze in a vacation next year for my older son’s graduation.

I have one big surgery next year and a few small out-patient procedures so hopefully my personal and vacation time will cover all that plus our one week trip.

I’ll post my test results as soon as I get them. My blood work is normal and I feel okay so I don’t believe they'll find any problems.

Love,
Janet

Janet,
My fingers are crossed that your test results for the CT Scan and Bone Scan will give you peace of mind for years and years.

I keep you in my prayers. Enjoy the summer.
