Cancer 1 and Janet 0

Well, things aren't going very well at the moment. The cancer seems to be as stubborn as I am which makes sense that they're my cells. Anyway, it appears that the infection I got after surgery is getting worse and I was put on 2000mg of antibiotics. If this doesn't help I have to go on an antibiotic drip. So, that doesn't sound to bad right, well here is the bad part. It is possible that it isn't an infection but Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC). It is rare and it's not a form of breast cancer you want to get. The reason is it is very aggressive and can metastasize to other areas of your body fast.

The treatment for IBC is chemo first then surgery (again) which is what I'm doing now. The difference between infection verses IBC is that the last bad treatment (AC) may be skipped. For IBC, I would start the Taxol/Herceptin mix this coming Thursday instead. After a few of those treatments an evaluation would be performed. If at that point it looks like the score is cancer 2 and Janet 0, we'll move into a different treatment.

I do realize that no battle against cancer is easy. But for me, if there is a worse case scenario, that's the one for me. I guess God planned it this way because the harder the challenge the more I excel. I won't say I haven't done a lot of crying lately but the more down I get the more determined and willful I become. I'm not going to let this beat me, I'm just not...
