Halfway

Happy Thanksgiving to all!! I hope you have a very safe and wonderful holiday.

Well, I can't believe I'm having the 4th new treatment this Friday. I really don't like having treatments weekly but it sure makes them go by faster. We are eight down and eight to go after this week. I'm doing very well on the new meds. The dose of Taxol is just low enough that I'm not having the same issues I had with the A/C meds.

I went back to work for a couple of days last week. I'll be putting in two days this week as well. Thanksgiving was somewhat uncertain for us this year. It's a holiday that I've hosted for the last several years. I really felt I wasn't going to be able to cook a big meal plus do house cleaning. After I suggested a dinner of chicken and instant side dishes everyone (children included) volunteered to help out so Thanksgiving is back on.

I'm feeling more positive each day. My white blood cell count was in the normal range for the first time since last November. I still get tired quickly and have some cold like symptoms from the Herceptin. I'm really feeling better and very happy about it. I don't know how things will be going forward but I'm feeling good today and today is all that matters.

PS: I made a change to correct the issue with posting comments so please try again if it didn't work before.
